As an architect and BIM consultant, Alfred Huang has many years of experience in developing productive BIM philosophies and strategies that help firms yield more from their Revit models.
Alfred will speak about how to more effectively manage the Revit BIM Process to accommodate the design workflow, while getting more out of a Revit model such as producing renderings and visually compelling graphics.
Jason Chen will speak about multiple rendering options from a Revit model and alternate presentations that include a Unity demonstration
Alfred Huang is the founder of MAP, a smart-design architectural practice based in New York City. His practice has been using Revit in developing innovative BIM design strategies to bring more value and return on his projects and for his clients. He also consults architectural clients on Revit implementation and effective model management; working most recently on projects for Deloitte Canada, Baccarat Hotel, OGS and SCA.
Previously, Alfred was a Senior Designer at the New York office of SOM for seven years. While at SOM, he led the Revit efforts of many iconic projects including One World Trade Center, Lotte Busan and Zuellig Building in the Philippines – all Revit projects that he will talk about today.
Jason Chen
Jason Chen is a Senior Digital Design Specialist in the New York office of SOM. His responsibilities include developing and implementing BIM practices, mentoring staff in BIM and other digital design tools, and researching future technology. Jason has been imbedded into project teams, creating and refining work flows from the ground up. He also manages multiple project teams, advising best practices, project planning and troubleshooting. Jason continues to practice architecture with a focus on exploring the utilization of BIM in all aspects of a project.
